What is the process of ordering?
Fill out the order form on the custom page with as much detail as possible, and send it through. We’ll correspond with you until you’re happy with the design we piece together. In order to secure your booking, a 50% deposit is required.If you’re not after a custom order, you can browse our e-shop here.
How do I store my cake?
Cakes should be refrigerated until 30 minutes prior to your event starting. Keep in an air conditioned space out of direct heat or sunlight.
How do I care for my cake topper?
Cake toppers can be made from delicate materials, so always handle with care. When placing cake topper on top of the cake, hold it from the base and not from the top.
Do you cater to people with dietary requirements or food allergies?
Our cakes and desserts may contain traces of eggs and nuts. We don’t have gluten-free options on our menu, but check back with us soon! All our cakes and desserts are prepared using halal ingredients.
Do you have minimum orders?
For all custom desserts and favours, there is a minimum order of 24 pieces per type. For dessert tables and dessert orders, a minimum spend of $400 is required, unless they are available in our online shop where there is no minimum.
I have a photo of a cake I like. Can you replicate it?
You are welcome to send through photos from other designers as part of your inspiration, however we do not copy other’s work.
We feel strongly about originality and the craftsmanship that every baker puts in to their creations. At Opal Rains, if you love our creative direction, we’d love to work with you to design something unique for your event.
Can I pick up my order?
Absolutely! Pick up is by appointment only. Contact us to secure a time.
Do you deliver across Australia?
Cakes and fresh desserts can be delivered to most locations in Sydney. Cookies and some packaged favors may be shipped nationwide. A booking fee may be required. Inquire within for more info.
Can I taste some cake?
Of course! You can purchase one of our sampling cake or favors boxes after inquiring. If you decide to proceed with a booking within 12 months, the cost of the sampling box will be deducted from the final price of your next order. To find out when the next round of boxes will be going out, please subscribe to our mailing list.
When should I book my cake?
You can book up to a year in advance, and your booking will be secure once the deposit has been received. We advise you to book responsibly to guarantee availability.
